Another first time kill, another Harkain absence. There’s a pattern emerging here.
So tonight was finally the night. After several weeks of smashing our heads against a brick wall we finally downed the Lieutenant of Barad Guldur. For those that don’t know this fight it requires incredible concentration from all 12 members of the raid, a single error by one player is an almost certain wipe. Add to that everyone can be made a target for the two eye mechanics of the fight and you have a tough encounter. So we went back to the drawing board, tweaked our tactics slightly and the result was a clean kill on our first try of the evening. With regard to loot, Skaggi picked up an nice off hand axe and the armour piece was awarded to Kraggax which is great as we now have one our tanks fully radiance equipped.
Anyway, huge congratulations to those that were there tonight but also to those that weren’t but have been on many other runs whilst we fine tuned our strategy. Truly this is a great achievement for everyone involved with Precept LotRO division. Since the Kin was reactivated around the turn of the year we’ve all worked really hard to re-equip our characters, farm instances, work faction and grind relics / symbols. It’s been hard, it’s been slow, hell it’s even been boring sometimes (no more SG runs ever) but nights like tonight make it all worth it.
