Welcome to Precept, a European multi gaming guild. Our focus is currently Warhammer age of reckoning on the Karak Eight Peaks server. We are beta’ing Aion and have players in a couple of other MMO’s.
Precept is an “end game” guild and by that we mean that we play the game to conquer all the content and challenges put in our way.
We strive to achieve these goals to place us amongst the top guilds on our chosen servers, this includes raiding, instancing and PVP/RvR.
We are a guild in which you will have to dedicate the same amount of time you would to any other hobby.
This post describes our recruitment process and what we require from you to ensure you recognise and maintain Precept’s standards.
1: Recruitment pre-requisites
Mature behaviour:
While we carry no age restriction, our average age is older than Treebeard. This means that we expect you to be able to hold and perform in an adult
setting without the need to link your latest epic item or have to “lol” after each sentence.
Adaptability:
Your playing hours, your character and your mindset must be adaptable. While we are not hardcore, demanding copious amounts of time, we do have a
raiding schedule and we do play at certain times. This means you need to be able to control your play times as much as possible.
Guild first mentality:
This is the basis by which we built the guild. It means your mindset has to be flexible!
Dedication and guild spirit are important to us, so if you are a person that thinks “I” over “The guild” you are not going to fit in.
This applies to items, helping guild mates, loot sharing etc.
If you play with us there is no: I like, I want, I demand, me me me. It’s a team game, a spirit of brotherhood, musketeer like, all for one and one for all
is the keyfactor of this guild!
Character development requirement:
Developing your character helps the guild as a whole. Individual strength all contributes towards the greater good. By this, we mean that if
you do not actively seek to progress your character outside of raids or other primary ways of getting equipment (PQ’s etc) you wont fit in.
Completing traits, crafting, PQ, Renown ranks, Instances etc..etc.. is all part of the game and something all of the guild goes through and it is important
that you as an applicant show us that you are going to be a strong asset, rather than a weak addition, by your dedication to your character, and
therefore the guild.
Now we’ve taught you to suck eggs and you’ve got this far, read on and see what you have to do to apply!
2: Recruitment process
Our recruitment process is as follows.
A: You register on the forum, using your IN-GAME name! That’s imperative to make it easy for everyone to link your character with your forum identity, especially with the number of new members that we are getting!
B: You make a Post on the forum with the template given for the SPECIFIC GAME.
For information on each games template refer to the stickied posts in the recruitment section.
C: You will be contacted by an officer of the guild in game or via PM’s on the forum or both.
D: Wait, be patient, adding someone to a Guild is not done over night.
E: After a few days we will contact you again to give you our decision.
Should you be accepted to the guild, you need to read all the sticky posts asap on all sections that you have access to. It’s imperative that you learn and understand the inner workings of Precept in order to properly function as a member.
Whilst this all may sound onerous and overbearing, our experience has shown that to encourage teamwork, dedication and fairplay, as well as equal amounts
of mirth and hilarity, we need to put some rules in place.
That way we all know what’s expected and we can get on with doing the fun stuff!

A side note for all interested applicants
Should you decide to apply for membership, you aren’t applying for just another guild where you log on kill mobs, get loot and log off.
You will be joining a family, a Brotherhood of gamers and as a Brother we will treat you accordingly if you are recruited.
Though one of our goals is to beat bosses and dress ourselves in the best gear, it is not the primary goal. The primary goal is the way we do it, and at all times we strive to do it in as gloriously epic way as possible.
Our mentality is Guild first, Brotherhood first, and we always fight and die with our Brothers on our side and destroy our enemies in whatever way possible.
We are a dedicated tight-knit group and we always strive to have a tight unit that allows us to achieve anything that we set our minds to.
If you are searching for a home and think that you can live by our standards, follow the instructions above, post and apply.
Respect and dedication is all we ask.
Thanks
