Precept was formed a few years ago with the launch of Lord of the Rings Online.
We were all Veteran players from many other MMO's, mainly US servers, met each other and realized that we had similar goals and ideals and thus, decided to give it a go and create a small guild that would be a force to be reckoned with.
Small, because for Precept, what matters most is character and on that basis we strove to create not only a guild of competent players, but of good people as well.
Recruitment has always been slow due to that and to the disappointment of many applicants, but unfortunately, there is no other way for us to ensure the above rule if we take large numbers of recruits.
After a while, the guild grew enough and was the dominant force on our server and the time was ripe for us to start aiming higher for bigger things. We decided to start raiding shortly after the first raid-instance was introduced in the game to see how we do. The guild went, saw and conquered.
Precept not only managed many server firsts on all the major encounters of the game, but also hit the rank of no.1 in Europe and no.3 in the world after beating specific raid encounters.
The most important thing though, is the fact that our guild did not get blind with success and start tearing our own eyes out. Some of us have witnessed that in previous guilds, which had the mentality of zergs and not family. We chose to be different and that's why we are still standing strong, with the same people that we started with and new friends that we made along the way.
Thus, we continue in the same spirit as our core and evolve through the years with the accumulated experiences of our new members and through glorified battle.
These days, Precept is exploring and conquering the world of Telara, which is being plagued by Rifts from other dimensions. The plane of existence in which we dwell, is called "Steampike", so you may find us there if you are inclined to do so.
