[Marmawise]

Marmawise Smallburows

In the Third Age in the year 2974,
Marmaduc Smallburrows and his pregnant wife Lilly travelled from Ettemoors
to Hobbiton in the Shire to give birth to they're child.
On the way there Marmaduc got sick and they had to stop in Bree.
They took a room in the Prancing Pony where Marmaduc coold get nursed.
Weeks later at the point that Marmaduc had regained his strength,
Lilly's condition didn't allow them to contiue the journey again.
They decided to give birth in the Prancing Pony.
A few days later on 13 july 2974 Marmawise was born.
The owner of the Prancing Pony, Barlimen Butterbur became the Godfather of Marmawise.
Marmaduc, Lilly and Marmawise traveled to Hobitton where Marmawise grew up.
When Marmawise was big enough he stayed many times in the Prancing Pony.
For the free food offcourse, but also to hear the minstrels play.
He talked a lot to them to learn to play.
One gave him an old lute to practise on.
When he was able to play songs from only hearing the tunes,
a few of the minstrels invited him to a seperate room where he was tought about the art of battle songs.
