If you are considering applying to Precept there are a few things you need to know.
Community not game:
While Precept currently playsswtor we have quite a few games under our belts where we have achieved things as a guild. If your main goal is to join the guild to kill LK hardmode or Lt. of Dol Guldur HM or the magic "progress" then turn away now, we are not here to gear anyone up.
You apply to Precept to join a community spanning multiple games and years to go into new and exiting challenges together regardless of game, games are transient the guild is NOT. So if your a total lotro or WoW fanatic who wont be touching anything else we are NOT the option for you.
Maturity:
And by maturity we mean expecting debates/topics/discussions to be at a certain level and while goofing about is a key factor for us we also expect everyone to handle mature topics and reasoning. This also applies to ingame time, if you have to ask anyone permission to play you wont take a spot here (this includes wifes/gfs/mothers whatever, if you cant controll your own playtime around the guilds times then there is no point).
We also like to stress the fact that you need to be able to maintain your work/school etc with your activities within the guild, having periodic players who bounce between hardcore (and therefore missmanaging previous stated things) and having to go LOA for ages due to life catching up is not something we are intrested in. We are looking for longtime investments both socialy and ingame wise.
This all can be summed up by 'we want people to be responsible, to the guild, to their guildfriends, to their RL commitments in order to create the perfect harmony that is Harka....I mean Precept'.
Keeping in touch:
While we appreciate not everyone is a forum junkie we expect people to keep in touch with the guild in our different games, try to attend special guild nights etc.
Precept being a community rather than a guild requires that everyone puts as much into it as you take out of it. Showing up to raids only to collect loot is not something we allow anyone to do. We have ts, we have forums, we have guild nights and that is what must take priority.
If you only log vent for a raid and the rest of the time you sit on your old guilds vent or private vent with irl friends then DONT bother applying, you need to take this community as your #1 priority in gaming and what comes with that and it stretches FAR beyond a raid attendance. We are more likely to accept someone who attends 50% raids yet is deeply involved in the community than we are someone who shows up 100% of the time for raids but has nothing to do with us outside those times.
Please be honest with yourself and us if applying is something that will work, there will always be other guilds that simply live only for raiding and gearing up that will suit you better if thats your one goal, however if you have come to the point where you want more from gaming and a stable community with longterm goals and structure then look no further, we are the last guild you will ever need to apply to.
Further, as part of the application Process the Admin / Officer team may wish to contact you - due to this, please make sure you check your private messages on this forum and return to look at the progress of your application. If you miss these, your application will unfortunately not be taken forward.
